ENLASO's Language Technology Center is also home to the previous versions of the ENLASO Localization Tools suite. In 2005, ENLASO ported the tools suite to the Okapi Framework, an open-source project that provides interface specifications, format definitions, components and applications to build interoperable processes for the translation and localization process. The goal of this initiative is to allow tools developers and localizers to build new localization processes or enhance existing ones to best meet their needs, while preserving a level of compatibility and interoperability.
